ITS Configuring PPP for Windows XP

  1. Click Start, then go to Control Panel.



  2. Double-click on Network Connections.



  3. When the New Connection Wizard window appears, click Next to continue,



  4. Select the circle next to Connect to teh Internet and then click Next.



  5. Select the option Setup My Connection Manually. Then click Next.



  6. Select the circle next to Connect Using a Dial-up Modem. Then click Next.



  7. Now enter a name for the connection as NSU-PPP. Then click Next.




  8. Refer to the table below to enter the correct Phone number in this screen.
    Then click Next.



  9. Dial Up Number for Local Access.

    From Off-Campus: 448-4300
    From On-Campus : 4300

  10. Select the option Anyone's Use in this window and click Next.



  11. Enter the Account Information in this new window. Then click Next.



  12. Check the Add a Short Circuit to My Desktop box and clcik Finish.
